A Thames Valley Police spokesman said the two people were pronounced dead at the scene, adding that a man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the deaths.
He said: "The ambulance service was contacted ... following a report that a man and woman had been seriously injured on a boat along the Grand Union Canal. They have not at this time been formally identified. Their ages are yet to be confirmed.
