Two arrested over baby's death

The death of a 10-week-old baby boy was being investigated by the police.

A 33-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were arrested in connection with the death.

A Dorset Police spokesman said they were investigating the circumstances surrounding the child's "unexplained, sudden death" at an address in Gordon Road, Wimborne.

The man and woman were arrested after the death of the boy on Friday.

The police spokesman said they were awaiting the outcome of a port mortem to establish the cause of death.

It was anticipated the post mortem would take place on Sunday, said the spokesman.
