AN autistic pupil at a Herefordshire residential school has been cleaning up to raise money for Air Ambulance funds.
Alex Calver, aged 19, has attended Coddington Court School, near Ledbury, for six years.
The youngster raised more than £200 by washing staff cars at the school in his spare time over the past two years.
Half the money raised will go to the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, with the rest going to the school, which is run by the charity autism.west midlands and specialises in the provision of services and education for up to 40 young people diagnosed with autism.
Alex first went to Coddington Court in 2002 but has just left to move into the Supported Living Service in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.
