Special day for mayoress

SUPERMARKET colleagues of Hereford’s new mayoress visited the Mayor's Parlour to raise money for charity.

Mayoress Lynne Wargen treated her colleagues at Tesco in Belmont to light refreshments, which she prepared herself, and this was followed by a talk by Mayor, Councillor Kevin Wargen.

The proceeds were donated to Noah’s Ark which supports bereaved children, young people and their families in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

The guests were then shown around the Town Hall silver vaults.
