PUPILS at a Hereford primary school are ready to get their fingers dirty after they received £7,000 to give their playground a makeover.
St Paul's Primary School was selected by the Natwest Supergrounds programme, which is managed by the national school grounds charity Learning through Landscapes and environmental charity Groundwork.
Headteacher Reg Thomas said his pupils were already drawing up plans for the new playground.
"School playgrounds are one of the few safe outdoor spaces that are available to children and they should offer a stimulating environment for children to learn and play," he added.
