PUDDING FESTIVAL – St Mary’s Church, Humber, is holding its popular pudding festival tomorrow (Friday) at Great Marston Farmhouse, Risbury, starting at 7pm.

COUNTRY FETE – On Sunday, the parish country fete will take place at Treago Castle at 2pm. There will be classic cars, sheep shearing, castle tours and a barbecue.

MEDIEVAL MIDSUMMER FAIR AT GREAT TRERHEW The Village Alive Trust presents a Medieval Midsummer Fair on Saturday 21st June at Great Trerhew Farm, Llanvetherine. From 2.00pm onwards there will be many attractions for your enjoyment. These will include Maypole dancing, archery, magic felting workshops, hot dogs and a licensed bar. There will also be an opportunity to see GreatTrerhew's medieval barn restoration. Admission is free; car parking is £5. In the evening from 7.oopm onwards there will be a Ceilidh and Hog Roast. CONFIRMATION SERVICE IN SKENFRITH Next Sunday, June 15th, the Confirmation Service will take place in St. Bridget's Church, Skenfrith, at 10.00am. The Bishop of Monmouth will be confirming the candidates who have been preparing for this day for several weeks. All are welcome to this service and afterwards refreshments will be served at the back of the church. There will be no other services next Sunday in any of the other churches in the Grosmont group.

SHEARING MATCH - GRAIG FARM, CROSS ASH. Llangattock-Vibon-Avel & District Ploughing and Agricultural Society are holding their annual Shearing Match at Graig Farm, Cross Ash by kind invitation of the Turner Family, on Sunday, June 8th from 2.30pm onwards. Refreshments will be available. Trips to the top of the Graig Hill on a tractor-trailer are also available - take advantage of the ride to see the panoramic view from the top. Everyone is welcome.
