FLOODING – Ewyas Harold Group Parish Council would like to express its thanks to the local fire brigade, Steve Bowen, Nick Eynon, Chris Hales and other helpers for their efforts in clearing up after the recent floods in the village.

DOG WARDEN – In future Ewyas Harold will be patrolled regularly by Herefordshire’s dog warden in order to overcome the problem of dog fouling in public places. These include the recreation ground where football matches have been delayed while the pitch was cleaned; the grass at the back of the Memorial Hall where pre-school children play; the grass banks near the primary school and the road and pavements in the village.

Guilty dog owners will be fined. PRIMARY SCHOOL – The walking bus continues on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, meeting at Ewyas Harold Memorial Hall at 8.30am.

Come and join us, it is a great way to start the day.

CHURCH OF ENGLAND CHILDREN’S SOCIETY – More than £1,000 was raised at the box opening and coffee morning which was held in St Michaels Hall last week. A big thank-you to all who came and supported and gave of their time and money.

MACMILLAN NURSES–- There will be a coffee morning in Bacton Hall tomorrow (Friday) as part of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning from 10.30am to 12.30pm. There will be various stalls including cakes, produce and nearly new.

EQUESTRIAN SALE – This will be at the Memorial Hall on Saturday and Sunday from 9.30am to 5pm.

ST MICHAEL’S CHURCH – On Saturday from 10.30am we will be decorating the church ready for the Harvest Festival service on Sunday. The service will start at 1pm and will be followed by lunch in St Michael’s Hall. Tickets cost £7 from PCC members or on the door.

CHORAL CONCERT – Crickhowell Choral Society will give a concert directed by Stephen Marshall in Dore Abbey on Saturday at 7.30pm. Tickets available from Mailes Butchers, Abergavenny Music and The Outback, Hereford.

HARVEST TEA – Dulas Court will be having a Harvest Festival service followed by tea starting at 4.15pm on Sunday.
