FESTIVAL – Eardisley Festival committee members are to be congratulated on organising and producing a wonderful four-day event, which brought great pleasure to the hundreds of people who attended it. There were over 20 venues staging exhibits and demonstrations, starting with the magnificent display of flower arrangements in St Mary Magdalene Church, based on the theme of Famous Faces. Among the eye-catching displays were the scarecrows, places at strategic sites throughout the village. A very welcome feature this year were the rest-a-while places, which were greatly appreciated in the hot weather. Visitors, who came in busloads from outside the county, together with local visitors enjoyed excellent food, served mainly in the village hall.
