YFCs in clean sweep

Herefordshire Young Farmers Clubs swept the board at the Countryside Live Primestock Show in Harrogate, competing against all the other counties in the national YFC federation, managing to win all the trophies on offer.

Herefordshire won the overall team championship trophy with another of the county’s team in runners-up spot. In addition, the county won the beef team cup and the pig team cup and had numerous other individual prize cards.

And 12 competitors from Herefordshire YFC travelled to Harrogate to compete in the National YFC Live & Carcase competition for Beef and Pig stock judging.

Herefordshire YFC full results from the National Live & Carcase competition held at Countryside Live, Harrogate (25-26 October 2008): Overall Team Championship (John Spear Trophy) – Herefordshire C (Jono Rogers, Chris Watts, Matt Price, Kamilla Bosley).

Runners Up Team Championship – Herefordshire A (Mike Hanson, Richard Garlick, Sarah Wells, Rob Harris).

Beef Team Award (Smithfield Perpetual Challenge Cup) – Herefordshire A (Mike Hanson and Richard Garlick).

Pig Team Award (Smithfield Perpetual Challenge Cup) – Herefordshire C (Matt Price and Kamilla Bosley).
