A HEREFORD company has taken delivery of new machinery that it hopes will help it continue to flourish.

TJ Crump Oakwrights Ltd has bought its second Hundegger K2 beam processing machine, believed to be the most advanced the German manufacturer has produced.

The machine is now in full production in its new purpose-built workshop following a two-week installation and calibration process.

Tim Crump, managing director, said: “By investing a million pounds in our new workshop and machine, Oakwrights are bucking the trend in the construction industry.

“The new machine makes Oakwrights the most advanced oak framing company in the world. We can now offer even more high quality frames to our clients.”

Oakwrights, based at Swainshill, directly employs 60 people as well as numerous local sub-contractors and suppliers.

Operating nationwide and abroad, the firm is now trading in its 10th year having grown to become one of the country’s leading designers and manufacturers of bespoke oak frame houses.
