PRESTEIGNE residents have welcomed the installation of two new play areas from Powys County Council that cost £27,000.
Pupils from the county primary school were on hand last week to test out new Playdale equipment at the Wilson Terrace and Lugg View playgrounds.
Presteigne councillor Garry Banks said: “It is a pleasure to present to the community a genuine opportunity for safe, outdoor play and giving children a chance to interact with each other, to make friends and to enjoy fresh air and exercise, which is so important for their development and health.”
