Two Herefordshire companies celebrated significant wins at this year’s ICT Excellence Awards.
KC3.net left stiff regional competition standing with its triple success at the coveted ICT Excellence Awards 2008. The successful company, which currently employs 20 people at its head office in Kington, topped the honours list in one category and was highly commended in two others.
KC3.net won the ICT Excellence Award for Most Improved Business and was highly commended in the Best Added Value Product Award and the Best Knowledge Transfer Award categories.
The Awards for Best Added Value Product and Best Knowledge Transfer were as a result of a successful project carried out in partnership with Aston University.
Jenny Powles, KC3.net's marketing director, said: "Our ethos of excellent customer service and continuous improvement has really stood us in good stead. We're delighted to be honoured with this success.”
Meanwhile Ross-on-Wye company Muddy Boots Software was highly commended for the Best Innovative Product Award for its Quickfire PAF software. Muddy Boots clients include Marks and Spencer, Unilever and Ben & Jerry’s.
Jonathan Evans, managing director of Muddy Boots Software, said, “we're delighted to be honoured with this success. Muddy Boots is already well known in the food industry and this award will remind clients and prospective clients of the quality of products being developed by our company. An ICT Award also has the potential to raise the profile of the business beyond food industry channels as Microsoft Certified Partners and other significant industry players will be exposed to the award finalists. Finally, it's been fantastic taking part as the feedback from the judges has been invaluable to us.”
