STAFF and students at a Hereford school have played their part in trying to bring peace to the world.

A programme of symbolic events was held at The Bishop of Hereford’s Bluecoat School to commemorate the United Nations International Day of Peace. A bed of peace windmills were made by Year 7 pupils and many pupils sent their own peace messages via their mobile phones. Symbolic white ribbons adorned trees in the ‘peace sanctuaries’ and a special Tree of Peace was decorated in the school grounds.
