EMERGENCY services were called to the river Wye in Herefordshire after a man was seen on the wrong side of the bridge.
Two fire engines - one each from Hereford and Fownhope - as well as water first responders, boat crews and a drone from Ledbury - were all called to a 'rescue from water' incident at Holme Lacy Bridge shortly before 7.20pm on Sunday (May 5).

A fire service spokesperson said: "A man was the wrong side of the railings on the bridge but police and ambulance had made contact with him and so the incident was left with them."
An ambulance spokesperson added: "We were called to concern for a patient’s welfare off the B4399 near Holme Lacy at 7.20pm.
"An ambulance arrived in four minutes and found a male patient. Once he was brought to safety, he was assessed by ambulance staff and taken to Hereford County Hospital for further treatment."
